As a business owner, you know that running a successful business takes a lot of time, effort, and resources and if you’ve been listening to The Simpler Business Podcast for a while you’ll know I’m a big fan of finding ways to make running your business smoother and easier.
One option to streamline your business operations and free yourself up to focus on your zone of genius is to consider outsourcing the simple and repetitive tasks in your business. The tasks that don’t need your face, your voice or your personality in order to get done.
You can outsource general tasks to a contractor or virtual assistant, or you could work an expert in a particular area you’d like to outsource - there are lots of great options available.
But how do you know when it's the right time to outsource?
When I talk with my listeners about outsourcing, they tend to raise the same questions - what should I outsource, how do I know if I can afford it, who should I outsource to, and how can I manage it when it feels like it’s quicker and easier just to do it myself instead of training and checking the quality of someone else’s work?
But what will happen to you and your business if you don’t outsource? It’s impossible to be everywhere and do everything at once and trying to wear all the hats and do all the things forever will only lead to burnout and inconsistency.
