Your imposter syndrome is the only thing holding you back
What if the biggest thing standing between you and your dream business isn’t your strategy, skills, or resources — but your belief in yourself?
Imposter syndrome can sneak in and make you doubt your worth, even when you’re more than capable.
But it doesn’t have to hold you back.
1. Focus on the People You’re Helping
Imposter syndrome thrives when we focus on ourselves.
“Am I good enough?” “What if I fail?”
Instead, shift the focus to the people you’re here to serve. Think about the transformation you help them achieve and how much value you bring to their lives.
Try this: Write down 3 ways your work has already helped someone. Use these as a reminder of the impact you’re making.
2. Reframe Your Thoughts
Catch yourself when you’re stuck in negative self-talk like, “Who am I to do this?” Instead, remind yourself: “Who am I not to?” You don’t have to be perfect to create value, you just have to show up.
Try this: When imposter syndrome hits, write down the thought, then replace it with one that empowers you. For example, replace “I’m not experienced enough” with “I’m always learning and growing, and I bring value at every stage.”
3. Take Action, Even When It Feels Scary
Imposter syndrome hates action. Every time you show up, even when it feels uncomfortable, you’re proving to yourself that you can do it. Confidence doesn’t come first, it comes through doing.
Try this: Take one small step today that feels outside your comfort zone - it might be sharing your story, pitching your offer, or posting content.
Imposter syndrome is normal, but it doesn’t define you. The only way to truly overcome it is to keep showing up, keep learning, and keep believing in the value you bring!
