Here's how to outline your first online course in 3 simple steps

Let’s get your course idea out of your head and all planned out!

Step 1: Start with the Transformation

Ask yourself: What will my students achieve by the end of this course?

Write down the big result you want them to have. Keep it specific and clear.

Step 2: Break It Down into Key Milestones

What are the major steps your students need to take to reach that transformation? These steps will become your course modules.

Step 3: Outline Each Module’s Lessons

For each module, cover two focuses: What do they need to know, and what do they need to do?

Keep it to 2-3 lessons per module so it doesn’t feel overwhelming to your students.

Step 4: Give Them The Next steps

Some of your students will finish your course and wonder what to do next. Don’t leave them stranded! Offer them a next-level program, group or personal coaching, or a VIP day with you.

Now you have a clear outline and you’re ready to turn it into a course!
